Food trucks support Meals on Wheels

WILLIAMSVILLE, N.Y. (WIVB) – Hungry shoppers in Williamsville took advantage of some of the most popular food trucks parked outside the Eastern Hills Mall today.

A portion of the proceeds will be donated to Meals on Wheels for Western New York that serves more than 3,000 homebound seniors and people with disabilities.

Rachel Leidenfrost from Meals on Wheels says, “The community’s need for our services is tremendous. So every time that we have corporations that are willing to help out whether that be by giving us a percentage of proceeds, helping out with volunteers, giving us donations, it’s just something that we are tremendously excited about.”

The trucks that took part in the event were: Lloyd Taco Truck, The Sweet Hearth, R&R BBQ, The Cheesy Chick, Roaming Buffalo, The Whole Hog, Knight Slider and Amy’s Truck.
