Apart from everyone’s favorite scary-looking arachnids from the briny deep, flown in daily from New England and turned into lobster rolls with drawn butter or seasoned mayo, proprietor Justin Mi keeps it closer to home with Dungeness crab rolls. Fish & chips, chowders, and bisques round out the menu.
This is unmitigated good news for the crustacean-deprived — especially because record harvests have kept the price of lobster fairly low in recent years, at least at the wholesale end. But does San Francisco’s ban on plastic bags also apply to bibs?

The city’s growing fleet of food truck owners will descend on Robson Square starting Jan. 22 to showcase their culinary offerings as part of the Dine Out Vancouver festival.

The Street Eats Food Truck Festival, presented byNew Times, will bring more than 50 trucks from around Arizona and the country to Salt River Fields on Saturday, January 25 and Sunday, January 26. Attendees will also be able to catch live music, eating contests, and cooking demonstrations.
The business, which will be set up in a vintage trailer she found, should be open by late spring or early summer. It will serve the kinds of healthy, vegan fare Collins has been eating since her parents got sick.
