
Trailer owners at the hot spot say they’ve known for years that they’d eventually have to move to make way for a hotel. Last month they received the official notice they’d have to move after the weekend.

All owners will now have to (be) licensed by their hometown’s police department and will also have to go through CORI (Criminal Offender Record Information) and SORI (Sex Offender Record Information) checks. They also will have to be fingerprinted

Newmarket seeks two interested vendors to participate in a one-year pilot project that brings gourmet food trucks to town. The call for interested trucks has just gone out and town staff is finalizing the town properties on which the trucks will be able to operate, such as Riverwalk Commons, according to community services commissioner Ian McDougall.

Buffalo’s passion for food trucks got started on lunch breaks for the most part. Now hungry customers are bringing the trend home.

A Food Truck Rodeo which features more than 20 food trucks and local bands. That takes place on the last Wednesday of the month, starting next week and continuing through September. It runs from 5 to 8 p.m.

Held in History Park on Senter Road not far from the San Jose Municipal Stadium, the festival will offer a curated selection of over 35 of the best food trucks from all over the Bay Area serving their best rendition of a taco. All plates will be $5 or less.

Old school friends scoffed to us about the gourmet food trucks (Chairman Bao, Sam’s Chowder Truck) and wine are a part of this flea market set up. Guess that means more melted cheese and giant sugar doughnut smells for us! Organizer Charlie Ansanelli says, “We’ll be hosting over 15 local food trucks plus a whole section of prepackaged food vendors.”
