The Library Store On Wheels rolls out on Monday

The Central Library in downtown L.A. already has one of the better gift shops in the city (even though they won’t validate your parking when you shop there unless you show a library card). Now, they’re bringing their wares to you, rolling out a truck filled with literary-themed tchotchkes.
The Library Store On Wheels debuts on Monday, and during its inaugural one-week run will hit a different location each day. Unlike one of the luxe loncheras, this truck isn’t peddling gourmet fusion tacos or porchetta for the masses. Expect tote bags, mugs, maps, t-shirts, and other gifty items. Proceeds benefit the Los Angeles Public Library’s 72 branches.
